Basic Bible truths in every lesson
Adult—Youth 1 The goal of the Bible Study program is for each student of the
Word to deepen his relationship with Christ by enriching his understanding of
the Bible. Teaching the Bible is a great honor and a solemn responsibility.
Junior—Toddler In addition to the Bible story, each lesson includes Bible truths
which teach and review basic doctrine through questions children can understand
and remember. As they answer simple questions such as Who is Jesus? Who
wrote the Bible? and Is all of the Bible true?, children learn the fundamentals of
the Christian faith and grow in their knowledge of God and His Word.
Teacher training in every Teacher Guide
Adult—Youth 2 The teacher is successful when lessons are taught, not read.
Highlighted headings, Bible references, and teaching visuals are used so that each
moment is utilized to the fullest.
Youth 1—Toddler Every Teacher Guide begins with valuable instruction for
new and experienced teachers. Procedures are suggested for telling Bible stories,
teaching new songs and memory verses, and managing a classroom. Other topics
include teaching children how to pray and leading children to Christ. Throughout
the curriculum are more helpful ideas and suggestions for effective teaching.
Emphasis on learning
A life that is focused on God is one that is full of joy—and that is the focus of the
Joyful Life Bible Study program and Sunday school curriculum. Our goal is not
to entertain, but to teach the Bible in a way that adults and children will learn and
remember throughout life. We believe that the Bible itself is “entertaining” and,
what is more important, that it is relevant to our lives today. Centered on the
Word of God, this program not only interests children through colorful visuals
and exciting Bible narratives, but it also educates them in the ways of the Lord
and molds their lives for Christ. Adult and Youth are visually stimulated with
teaching posters, charts, and visuals. The program is designed to build up their
faith and equip them to effectively present their beliefs to others.
Built-in review to ensure learning
Adult—Youth 1 Highlighted headings help the teacher of the Word make appropriate
applications throughout the lessons. Such thoughts are easily reviewed
by the teacher as a springboard for the next lesson.
Junior—Toddler Joyful Life features a unique built-in review to ensure that children
remember previous lessons, and the Scriptural principles they have learned
remain with them. Every lesson includes time for review and specific material
for that time. This applies not only to the Bible lessons, but also to songs, verses,
and Bible truths.
